Cass Rompala | Executive Administration Manager
Cass Rompala (she/they) is an artist and professional with a wide breadth of experience in various health-tech startups, community-based arts organizations, and dance pedagogy, choreography, and artistry. Originally from the Philadelphia area, she grew up training with West Chester Dance Works, a non-profit dance organization that holds community and accessibility at the core of its mission. While training, she jumped in as the social media and website manager and helped to re-build their website and social media presence. In her continued education at the University of Pittsburgh, she studied Psychology and Dance, served on the Board of Directors of the Pitt Dance Ensemble, was elected as Vice President of Pitt’s Hip Hop Crew, and presented choreographic work through both organizations. After graduating, Cass started a career in UX Research, working with various health-tech startups to improve their user experiences, while continuing to teach dance through the start of the pandemic. After moving to Philadelphia, she continued teaching dance, coached a first-year kids’ hip hop crew with Flair Dance Company, set choreography for a music video, and presented work at various dance festivals in the city.
Upon moving to Boston, she discovered and joined Urbanity 2, and fell in love with the mission of Urbanity as a whole. After 8 months of working ‘here and there’ for Urbanity, she is elated to join the Urbanity team full-time. She is excited to bring the wide breadth of her professional experience and dance background to help manage Urbanity’s Access for All and Movement Meets programs, incoming bookings, social media presence & website updates, financial and research needs, and performance logistics. In addition to dancing on Urbanity 2, she also currently dances with We The Females (WTF) and Fusion Dance Collective.
