Urbanity 2 is Urbanity Dance’s highly selective second company, made up of up to 28 accomplished Boston-based artists balancing full professional lives with a serious commitment to concert-style modern dance. Grounded in contemporary technique, the company centers personal artistry—valuing individual style, choice, and voice within a rigorous creative process.

The program offers adult dancers with opportunities to take weekly technique classes, participate in creative processes, work with nationally renowned artists, and perform publicly in Boston. Dancers also engage in professional development through choreographic opportunities, personal branding and film, fundraising initiatives, and community involvement that connect dance-making to the broader Boston arts ecosystem.

The company is an intimate, driven collective of engineers, medical students, nurses, lawyers, financial analysts, tech specialists, educators, and movement professionals—united by excellence, curiosity, and a shared dedication to meaningful creation. The program fosters human connection, artistic rigor, and professionalism, offering a rare space where ambitious lives and serious dance opportunities coexist.
