Studio Rentals

Urbanity Dance has three studio locations in the South End of Boston available for rent: Urbanity HQ, Central, and Balance. Please scroll down to see availability and book the rental directly. For rental requests less than a week in advance, please email rentals@urbanitydance.org to schedule - these rentals will be subject to an additional late request fee. 

The rental may be canceled or rescheduled by the renter with a minimum 3 days notice. In case of a cancellation less than 3 days before your event, half of the total rental cost will be retained by Urbanity Dance.

We're also looking to host long term renters during the day time hours M-F at our Urbanity HQ and Urbanity Central locations. Urbanity HQ at 1180 Washington St. is available during the hours of 9am-3pm M-F, and Urbanity Central at 725 Harrison Ave is available during the hours of 9am-3pm Mon/Wed, 12pm-3pm Tues/Thurs, and 9am-9pm on Fridays.

UDHQ (1180 Washington St, Boston MA 02118)

UDHQ is available for rentals starting at $40/hr. This newly renovated studio is perfect for master classes, workshops, rehearsals with large ensembles, photoshoots, events, and parties. Capacity is 25-30 for classes, and up to 40 for seated performances.

UDHQ features a sprung marley floor studio about 1,228 sq ft. Amenities include: an in-studio bathroom, WiFi, a Bose sound system with phone plug-in, a microwave and mini fridge, a security system, and an array of fitness and wellness equipment.

UDHQ is a shared space between Urbanity Dance and Afrobeats Dance Boston. Afrobeats Dance Boston’s scheduled dates and hours are listed here: X. If you’d like to book during their time, please use the link provided. Otherwise, you can continue to use the standard booking platform above.

Urbanity Central (725 Harrison Ave, Boston MA 02118)

Urbanity Central is available for rentals starting at $30/hr. This studio is perfect for master classes, workshops, rehearsals with medium-large casts, photo/video shoots, and work events. Capacity is 20 people for class, and up to 35 for seated performances. 

Urbanity Central features a marley floor studio about 1,092.5 sq ft (Length = 47.5 ft, Width = 23 ft). Amenities include a spacious studio with gorgeous large windows, a small kitchen with mini fridge and microwave, spacious bathroom, WiFi, a bluetooth compatible speaker, speaker with a phone plug-in, two movable mirrors, ballet barres, and a security system. 

Urbanity Balance (111 W Concord St, Boston MA 02118)

Urbanity Balance is available for rentals starting at $20/hr. With its lengthy and narrow hardwood floors, this basement studio is perfect for yoga/mindfulness classes, street styles, heels, rehearsals with small casts, and birthday parties. Capacity is 15 people for class, and up to 20 for birthday parties or events. 

Urbanity Balance features a hardwood floor about 480 sq ft (Length= 40 ft, Width=12 ft). Amenities include a small kitchen with fridge and microwave, spacious bathroom, WiFi, bluetooth and phone plug-in speakers, yoga mats and blocks, ballet barres, and a security system.
