Dance For Dizziness

Dance for Dizziness is a free, 6-week movement class designed for people living with Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD). Classes take place in a social, creative environment where participants can rediscover the joy of movement. Keeping the challenges of dizziness in mind, the dance exercises are thoughtfully aimed to support the following:

  • balance

  • posture

  • vestibular system

  • sense of security and stability in space

  • proprioception and kinesphere = explore spatial orientation and body awareness

  • use of eyes/gaze with movements, direct focus and peripheral vision

  • integrative breathwork

  • safe challenges in a supported space, building tolerances

  • knowledge of modifications and in-the-moment ‘plan b’ options if dizzy

  • mental health: nurturing joy, agency, hope, and creative expression

  • community and connection vs isolation

The upcoming 6-week session of Dance for Dizziness runs from July 14th, 2026 - August 18th, 2026. Classes are held Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00pm at Urbanity Central (725 Harrison Ave, Suite 100, Boston, MA). Register for the full session at the link below.
