Bio: Destiny Gonzalez (she/her/ella) is a Boston‑based dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist. She holds a Dance Minor from Boston College, where she trained in ballet, contemporary, and jazz.
Destiny performs throughout New England in both stage and film settings, working with companies and choreographers whose work spans commercial, hip hop, street jazz, contemporary, and community-centered dance. She is currently a company member with Unknown Hype Dance Team and previously led Phaymus Dance Entertainment as President and Choreographer. Her movement style blends commercial precision with contemporary fluidity, shaped by training with a wide range of Boston- and New York–based artists.
In addition to her dance work, Destiny is a registered Zumba instructor and has been teaching since 2021. Her passion for fitness instruction began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she taught virtual Zumba classes to encourage movement and connection across both corporate wellness and personal fitness spaces. She specializes in Zumba and strength-based formats, centering feel‑good movement, rhythm, and accessible pathways to health. Her philosophy is simple: dance, have fun, and build strength through joyful movement.
As an educator, Destiny teaches youth hip-hop for the City of Cambridge and has led summer intensives focused on confidence, musicality, and performance quality for young dancers. Her work centers empowerment, stage presence, and storytelling through movement, with a commitment to uplifting emerging dancers and cultivating community through dance.
