Laura Haubold

Adult students call me: Laura

Pronouns: She/her

Hometown: Durham, U.K.

Teaching Philosophy: I see ballet as a form of self-care that is practiced in community. Through the structure of class, I hope to provide students with a framework for self-discovery that supports personal growth. The joy, resilience, and confidence cultivated through dance can enrich every aspect of life!

Bio: Laura Haubold is a second-year MD–PhD student at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Before beginning her medical training, she studied ballet pre-professionally at the Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, The Washington School of Ballet, and Princeton Ballet School. Laura went on to attend Princeton University, where she pursued a minor in dance and had the opportunity to work with acclaimed choreographers including Justin Peck, Amy Hall Garner, and Gabrielle Lamb. As an undergraduate, she served as a teaching assistant for Princeton's Introduction to Ballet course, helping beginner dancers build a strong technical foundation. She also volunteered with Ballet and Books, leading dance classes for children with limited access to arts education. Laura is excited to share her love of ballet at Urbanity Dance and help students grow in both confidence and technique.
