Hannah Islam | Marketing Assistant
Hannah Islam (she/her) is a dancer and communications professional with a passion for storytelling, community engagement, and the performing arts. In 2026, Hannah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Mass Media Studies from Hofstra University. Upon graduation, Hannah began her role as Marketing Assistant at Urbanity. Her work spans social media management, email marketing, website content, event promotion and more.
Throughout college, Hannah performed in works by choreographers such as Amy Marshall, Larry Keigwin, Heather Waldon, Amanda Selwyn, Christina Lynch-Markham and Rachel List as well as many more esteemed choreographers and dance educators. She has performed at numerous festivals and conferences including American Collegiate Dance Association, Earl Mosely’s Diversity of Dance, Hofstra Dance Concerts and Student Repertory festivals. She choreographed six times for Hofstra’s largest student-run performing arts organization, Danceworks Productions.
Born and raised in the Boston area, Hannah is deeply connected to the city's dance community. She is passionate about making the arts more accessible for all, building meaningful connections through storytelling, and supporting organizations that foster creativity, inclusion, and community. She is excited to continue using marketing as a tool to amplify impactful work and connect people through dance!
