Bio: Anna Krotinger, MBE, is a teaching artist at Urbanity Dance and a medical student at Harvard Medical School. Anna received her BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University, where her thesis investigated the impact of dance classes on Parkinson’s disease symptoms. After graduating from Wesleyan, Anna received her MBE from the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School with a focus in narrative ethics and began teaching in Urbanity’s “Dance with Parkinson’s” program. During her first year of medical school, Anna also started a dance program for cancer patients through Dana Farber’s Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and hopes to continue bringing dance into new clinical settings to make movement accessible to more patient populations.
