Anna Krotinger

Anna Krotinger, MD, MBE, is a resident physician at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a teaching artist at Urbanity Dance. Anna received her BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University, where her thesis investigated the impact of dance classes on Parkinson’s disease symptoms. After graduating from Wesleyan, Anna received her MBE from the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School with a focus in narrative ethics and began teaching in Urbanity’s “Dance with Parkinson’s” program. While in medical school, she collaborated with Urbanity to build the Movement Meets program, starting dance classes in multiple hospitals around the Boston area (including Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Spaulding Rehab, and McLean Psychiatric Hospital) to increase access to dance for different patient populations. In residency, she is looking forward to continuing to build Movement Meets, using dance and movement as another tool for healing. She is honored to join Urbanity's board to keep working towards this goal!
