Hannah San Clemente

Pronouns: she/her

Bio: Hannah San Clemente (she/her) is a maker from Northeastern Massachusetts with a BA in Dance from Mount Holyoke College. Her movement background includes a wide variety of dance techniques and embodied practices, from which she couldn’t possibly choose a favorite. In her time at Mount Holyoke, Hannah appeared in repertory works by Peter Jones, Balinda Craig-Quijada, Ellie Goudie-Averill, Chavi Bansal, and Lailye Weidman. Hannah grew up surrounded by theater and band kids, so music has always been at the center of her practice: driving her forward and inspiring her to create. Hannah’s interests extend far beyond the studio, stage or recording room, emphasizing advocacy for equity and accessibility within the arts through the lens of nonprofit management and disability studies. In addition to the degree in Dance, Hannah completed a minor in Entrepreneurship, Organizations and Society as well as certificates in Nonprofit Organizations and Arts Management.

Hannah is now based in Boston, MA, where she serves as the Lead School Administrator for Urbanity Dance. She continues to feed her soul with creative exploits as a dance instructor, working within the community engagement department of Abilities Dance Boston as well as with School Moves/Preschool Moves to teach classes in a variety of genres for youth and elder students in the greater Boston area. Hannah prides herself on a commitment to her own continued education as a dancer and educator, and is currently participating in an extensive professional development program through Jacob’s Pillow Dance known as the Curriculum in Motion Institute. She will be presenting her work and learning from this experience during the 2026 festival on-campus in Becket, MA, and could not be more excited!

Hannah dreams of a world where safe dance education and healthy environments of physical practice are accessible to ALL, regardless of their identity and economic, social, or disability status, and she intends to use her vast knowledge and organizational skill sets in active pursuit of that vision throughout her career in the years to come.
