Call for Dancers: Audition for Urbanity Dance’s 2025 Fall Crawl

Urbanity Dance seeks a few more dancers for our annual Fall Crawl—a beloved tradition that transforms unexpected spaces in Boston’s South End into immersive, site-specific stages. This vibrant series brings dance and performance into the heart of the community, and we’re looking for bold, professional dancers to be a part of it.

What to Expect:

This year’s theme explores the evolving relationship between technology (including AI) and human connection, particularly through an intergenerational lens. We aim to highlight how innovation can emerge when art and technology intersect, while also celebrating the value of face-to-face connection in fostering personal and community well-being.

 Who We’re Looking For:

• Dancers with strong, distinctive movement quality

• Comfortable performing in nontraditional spaces

• Enthusiastic about collaboration and working with community-centered themes

Each dancer will be stationed at a unique performance site, sharing their work with rotating audiences every 20 min.

 Schedule & Commitment:

• Rehearsals:
  Mondays & Wednesdays, 10:30 AM–1:00 PM, beginning September 8

• Dress Rehearsal:
  Thursday, October 2

• Performances:
  Friday–Sunday, October 3–5
  Evening shows on Fri & Sat at 7:00pm; Matinee on Sun at 1:00pm, Rain date Sun at 7:00pm

 Compensation:

$1,500 per dancer
