Adult Programs

What do I wear?
Urbanity’s dress code is designed to ensure all students at every age can move comfortably and safely, while allowing teachers to see alignment, posture, and placement. Any student may wear any dress code option regardless of gender identity or expression. We do not require specific brands, colors, or cuts. We ask that students adhere the dress code for both In-Studio and Streamed classes. Footwear: bare feet or socks. Hip hop students should wear a clean pair of non-mark sneakers that aren't also worn outside. Ballet students should wear ballet shoes. Masks are required. For specifics please view the Adult Student Handbook.

Which class level should I sign up for?
Seasonal Session classes are beginner through intermediate level, and drop-in classes are intermediate through advanced. However, there is a great deal of flexibility in both programs. For help deciding which program is best for you, contact studio@urbanitydance.org or 617-572-3727.

I'm in a Seasonal Session and I need to miss a few classes. Do you offer make-up options?
If you are unable to attend class In-Studio you can attend the Streamed class. If you are unavailable to attend the Streamed class, class recordings will be available to you.

What if there is a cancellation due to inclement weather or an emergency?
If we cancel both In-Studio and Streamed classes we will schedule a make up class. However, Urbanity reserves the right to shift classes from In-Studio to Streamed, which a make up will not be scheduled. Students will be notified over email.

If I sign up for a Seasonal Session but later need to withdraw, do you offer refunds?
Please view our Seasonal Session Adult Student Handbook for the refund policy.

If I sign up for a Drop In class but later need to withdraw, do you offer refunds?
