What do I wear?

Urbanity dress code is flexible, but dancers should wear something in which they feel comfortable moving, stretching, tumbling, and sweating. Footwear is bare feet or socks. Hip hop students should wear a clean pair of non-mark sneakers that aren't also worn outside.

How do I know which class is suitable for me?

Email alex@urbanitydance.org for feedback on which class to take. Trial classes are only accepted for students interested in our Adult Intro Session.

How do I know where my class is located?

Adult dance classes are held at our main location, 1180 Washington Street in the South End.

I'm in a 10 week Adult Intro session and I need to miss a few classes. Do you offer make-up options?

Yes! You are welcome to come do a make-up class in the Level if you let Urbanity know before you come.

What if there is a weather emergency?

Urbanity closings for weather emergencies will be communicated to students through email and on the studio's voice mail at least two hours before class is scheduled to begin. Urbanity will do its best to reschedule classes cancelled for weather issues, and students may also make-up classes missed for weather emergencies at any point.

Do you offer refunds for Adult Intro?

Yes, please email alex@urbanitydance.org for class cancellations. We cannot refund the full amount; refunds will be issued for every class following the date of communication.

What if I write a check and it has insufficient funds?

We charge a $25 fee for any checks that come back to us with insufficient funds.

What if there is an injury, health issue, or other emergency in class?

Urbanity teachers and staff members are trained in first aid and other emergency procedures. We will address the issue and contact your emergency contact if anything arises. Please be honest on your registration form or waiver about any medical concerns or previous injuries so we can best assist you.
